Impeccably clean houses, name brand clothing, pricey music classes and stricter-than-boot camp "routines" be damned.
Kate Gosselin is not a Super Mom
Welcome to Redefining the Super Mom.
This blog is dedicated to the moms who work sun up to sun down to ensure that their children are healthy physically and mentally and happy to be who they are.
We are moms who've had enough with the portrayals of Super Moms who are not anything near Super.
Having eight kids who can't get dirty and eat only organic foods does not make you "Super Mom".
Having the amount of kids that you know you can physically and mentally handle (as well as financially) and knowing that you have enough love to go around for them without complaining every second of the day does.
Moms who can look past the frustration and sacrifice of having small children, whether it be one or eight and give that child/those children the love, attention and respect that they so deserve makes you a Super Mom. Hard work and dedication along with support and guidance to raise your children to be the best they possibly can be - that makes you a Super Mom.
Having 10 chores done by noon nap, an impeccably clean house, name-brand clothing, [free] fancy vacations, nannies, maids, helpers, freebies and product placements makes you a pseudo mother. A fake. A fraud. Someone who thinks that birthing a child makes you a mommy. Someone with a lot to learn.
My name is Diane and I'm a mommy to 2 of the most wonderful toddler boys! I have been so blessed to have them in my life. I will try my best to keep up with their accomplishments, milestones, memories, progress and other special things I want to remember, here. I'm married to a wonderful man named David and we live together in Mobile, Alabama. We are both young parents. I am 23 and he is 26, we became parents when I was 20 and he was 23. We're learning new things every day and just trying to take care of our children the best way we know how - with LOTS of LOVE!!
